The great thing about hobbies is not only the creative outlet, but the fact that it is possible to earn some extra income on the side. Many moms open an Etsy store, or sell their creations at craft fairs.
With photography there is always the option to sell photos on sites such as Shutterstock, Dreamstime, iStockphoto, etc.
Photography is always a great excuse to get out in nature. It's relaxing and invigorating. I also enjoy working with people to create images that capture their personality and beauty.
